A remap updates the software that controls fuelling, boost, torque limits and throttle behaviour. The goal is a car that responds more cleanly, pulls more confidently and feels better suited to everyday road driving.
Stage 1 tuning is normally the sensible starting point for a standard road car. It works with factory hardware, so it is a strong option for drivers who want a noticeable improvement without changing exhausts, intakes or intercoolers.
Turbo petrol and diesel engines usually respond best, but every vehicle is different. The checker gives the right starting point, then condition, mileage, clutch/gearbox tolerance and current maintenance are considered before booking.
A good Stage 1 remap should be noticeable in normal driving, not just on a dyno graph. The biggest difference is usually how the car responds, pulls through the mid-range and delivers power more smoothly.
Extra torque can make the car pull more confidently from low and mid revs, especially useful for overtaking, hills and motorway driving.
The car can feel more alert when you press the pedal, reducing the lazy or delayed feel many factory maps are set up with.
A well-matched map should make power arrive progressively rather than feeling flat low down or too sudden at one point in the rev range.
Some drivers see better economy when they use the extra torque sensibly. It is not a guarantee, and hard driving will still use more fuel.

i’ve been to dh styling for rear window tints and have recently returned to get the fronts done. I wouldn’t use anyone else for window tints. cheap prices and top quality tints with no problems. in and out within the hour. very happy customer. Dawid is a very friendly lad and his work studio is brilliant. very clean and good for photos 😉
Had a chameleon tint on the windshield plus smoked tail lights. Could not be happier with the result. They’ve got a great setup with a broad selection and are great at what they do for a very affordable price. Highly recommend!
